King Island Dairy Furneaux
King Island Dairy Furneaux
King Island’s stable temperate climate and unpolluted, pristine environment lends itself to the production of fine quality dairy products.
This cheese is named for Captain Tobias Furneaux, who accompanied James Cook on his expeditions around Tasmania. Special techniques developed at King Island have been used to create an ultra smooth creamy cheese.
Furneaux has a well-developed, velvety rind and a luxuriously soft interior. It has a delicate aroma of sweet Jersey milk and fresh hay with a concentrated sweet buttery flavour.
