The Ashgrove Farm Cheese Company was established by the Bennett family on their dairy farm at Elizabethtown in Northern Tasmania in 1993.

They started making English style cheddars using traditional recipes and production techniques. They now produce a large range but the cheddars continue to be their speciality.

Ashgrove's herd produces milk with a slightly higher fat content than the standard usually used for cheddar making. This results in a richer, creamier texture. The Vintage has strong flavour with a nice nuttiness.
