Alexandrina Mt Magnificent Gouda

The Alexandrina Cheese Company is located at Mount Jagged on the Fleurieu Peninsula where the McCaul family have been dairy farmers since 1973. In 2001 they opened a purpose built factory, expanding the production of the premium quality cheeses for which they had become renowned. They use the milk collected from their much-loved herd of Jersey Cows to produce award-winning cheese using traditional methods.

This buttery Gouda is typical of the famous Dutch style cheese, delicate and creamy on the palate with a smooth, subtle texture making it easy to slice.  It has a warm golden colour and a delicious savoury flavour.
