Alexandrina Encounter Bay Edam

The Alexandrina Cheese Company is located at Mount Jagged in the heart of the Fleurieu Peninsula where the McCaul family have been dairy farmers since 1973, continually breeding their much loved Jersey cows.

 In 2001 they opened a purpose built factory where, as third generation cheese makers, they began manufacturing premium quality cheeses. They specialise in handmade cheese using traditional methods. 

The Encounter Bay Edam is presented in a red wax, which helps to preserve the sweet and nutty flavours of this ‘beautifully eyed’, firm textured cheese.
